Biography...

Stone Soup features an American sound consisting
of Blues, Country, R&B, New Orleans funk, and good old
fashion Rock and Roll. Stone Soup blends these styles
into a big collage of tasty roots music. Stone Soup are
heavily influenced by The Allman Brothers Band, The
Funky Meters, Tab Benoit, Santana, The Black Crows and
John Hiatt, as well as many, many others.
When this band performs they play with intensity and a passion for improvisation and a genuine love for the music.
Each member of Stone Soup Has been playing out in the
Minneapolis scene for quite awhile. A few members have
worked together in previous projects such as Hindu Kush High and Tight, The Curb Stone Dragons and Drewbacca and
the Texas Trio, as well as individual efforts with bands
like Clovis, Stereoscope, The North Country Bandits, The
Clementine Pickers and Bugsy and the Boys. Stone Soup
features powerful lead vocals as well as intertwining rythems
soaring lead guitar and a rock solid rythem section.
An absolute must for anyone that is into American
Roots Music.
